My kitchen is a no-fly zone right now. Want pancakes this Saturday morning? Too bad. Begging for bacon? You’re barking up the wrong tree. It is spotless and it.will.stay.that.way.
I spy…bongos! My 18th birthday present from my mom- I
was am such a weird kid.
We have another showing today and then the home inspection tomorrow, so it’s imperative that the house continue to look like June Cleaver lives here.
Instead of showing you my messy kitchen, I wanted to give you some ideas on how to make you own messes. Every baker needs great tools and these are my favorites right now.
My measuring cups and spoons are actually from the Martha Stewart Collection at Macy’s but I guess they’ve been discontinued. I love them- they are super easy to clean and have a nice heft to them. After a detailed search through Amazon, I found these from Oneida which seem comparable.
Once you’ve made your cookie dough, you might need to chill it. These mixing bowls are fantastic because they come with lids to keep the rest of your ‘fridge funk from invading your pristine cookie dough. I use them every single day.
3. Cookie Scoop
Scoop perfectly round cookies every time with a cookie scoop. They come in tons of different sizes and they keep your hands from getting gooey- bonus!
Love these AirBake cookie sheets- no hot spots, just evenly baked cookies every time.
An offset spatula is so much easier to use than a knife to frost cookies. I’m not quite sure why, probably has something to do with physics or ergonomics or some such nonsense, but it’s just true. So get one.
What are your favorite kitchen gadgets for baking?
