The days are long, but the years are fast. My sweet boy turns 1 year old tomorrow.
Close family and friends came over to celebrate with us. We had meatball subs and salad.
Then it was time to open some presents!
Baby’s 1st camouflage sweatshirt!
Sam’s ready to help in the new garden with his John Deere tractor from Uncle Matt.
Nick and I got him this precious chair from Little Furniture. Sammy loves to read- can’t wait until I find him curled up in this with a good book.
He is one loved little boy. He has lots of new toys to play with and books to read and I have some thank you notes to write for all the generous gifts he received.
Finally, it was time for cake. I made Browned Butter Banana Cupcakes for Sam and One Bowl Chocolate Cupcakes for everyone else. Georgetown Cupcake’s famous vanilla cream cheese frosting topped them all.
Of course, the birthday boy needed a very special cupcake. He has a Grover puppet that he loves to chew on- I figured if he saw Grover’s face, he’d know what to do.
Just like his mama, this kid went straight for the frosting, though usually I manage to keep it out of my ears.
Happy birthday, Butter Bean!
You are my sunshine.
What’s your favorite birthday cake flavor?
