On Friday, Nick took the day off work and we had a belated birthday celebration for Sammy at the Boston Children’s Museum. Rather than fend ourselves at a food court or Au Bon Pain, I packed lunch and snacks for all of us.
Sammy’s food: 10 sweet potato fries, 1/4 cup dried apple pieces, 1/2 ounce cheese, 1/2 cup broccoli and Parmesan quiche, Earth’s Best Apple Plum Kamut pouch, and an orange
Mom and Dad’s food: Antipasto Quinoa Salad, whole wheat pita, edamame hummus, almond butter and fig jam sandwich for mom, peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich for dad, both on Irish Brown Bread, and an orange
All of this went into a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. Sam ate most of the cheese and all of the pouch, spit out the quiche, and two or three sweet potato fries. Mom and Dad are good eaters and ate all of their food!
