I could list all of the reasons I’ve been absent from here for so long, but really, I just want to get back to posting.

Brew a cup coffee, settle down in a comfy spot, and prepare yourselves for a slew of catch up posts.

To start, breakfast!

Our refrigerator died on Saturday, so we used it’s demise as an excuse to head to Toast in Hull, MA on Sunday morning.  Our first trip to Toast was absolutely delightful, so we were excited take our favorite dining companion to a hip and yummy spot.

Sam spent the morning teasing his fellow patrons with sly grins and baby babble.  He also refused to smile at the sweet bus boy who waved at him several times.  Kids!  We actually love taking Sam out to eat– over the last 3 days, we ate out 4 times.  He is a total social butterfly.

Though Sam has a hearty appetite, we rarely order him his own meal.  I generally look for one of the bigger offerings and just split it with him.  Plus, food is less thrilling to him these days since he’s cutting molars.  Poor guy!

Today, we split The Wave which had scrambled eggs, silver dollar pancakes, grilled ham, and hashbrowns.  On the side was a dish of real maple syrup- love!  The hashbrowns were crispy and perfectly salted- a rare find in most breakfast joints.  This dish was a total steal at only $6.95.  In fact, the total bill was only $23 which included endless coffee and a smoked salmon and cream cheese omelet for the husband.  So rich!

You may have to wait for a table and you will definitely have to wait for your food, but there is great people watching and tons of knick knacks to ogle.

If you’re near Boston, take the short drive down to Hull, MA on the South Shore to check out Toast.
