Ravioli Festival! It’s a real thing. So excited to share this fun New England festival I found out about today with you- we’ll get to it in a minute.
I had a super productive morning away from the wee one and it was so nice to have a minute to listen to NPR and zone. My father in law came over to watch Sam this morning, so I could get my hair cut and run some errands. My first stop was Super Cuts- just a trim, but nice to be a little less shaggy. Then I hit up the liquor store and bought two bottles of red wine: Apothic Red and Gnarly Head Cabernet Sauvignon. Cannot wait to open one tonight- love bold red wines.
My next stop was Alfredo Aiello Italian Foods in Norwell. I was there to pick up some prosciutto for our Friday night Pizza Night ritual. Tonight’s pie is inspired by Bertucci’s arugula, prosciutto, and balsamic pizza. Yum! I know you can find prosciutto at Hannaford’s or Trader Joe’s, but I went to Alfredo’s because you can buy it in whatever quantity you want and the quality is excellent.
I bought 1/8 of a pound of prosciutto which only cost $1.90 so I decided I had some room in the budget for a few more treats. Olives, fresh Italian bread, and tomato paste in a tube made their way into my basket.
Tomato paste in a tube is SO helpful. I hate those little cans- no one ever needs 1/4 cup of tomato paste at a time. Holy tomato flavor! With the tube, you can just squeeze out what you need and throw it back in the fridge. Amazing!
But I digress. While I was there, I saw them setting up a large tent outside and saw a sign on the door- Ravioli Festival tomorrow! It’s like they knew I was coming in today.
