I just finished day 5 as a working mom and it’s been a tough transition for me and the wee one.
What can I say? I really miss my little nugget during the day, but we’re actually both fine while he’s at daycare and I’m at work. It’s the pick up that’s awful. He’s already decided daycare is more fun than mom. Ouch. Plus, he’s WAY more tired at the end of the day so that’s really taking the tantrums to a whole new level.
This will pass, right? RIGHT!? This is not a rhetorical question.
But these cookies…
These chocolate chip cookies from The Back in the Day Bakery Cookbook are perfection. I’m the kind of girl who is ALWAYS tweaking recipes. I rarely make the same thing twice.
So, when I tell you that I will never look for another chocolate chip cookie recipe again, it’s serious. Thick, soft, and with just the perfect touch of salt to balance the sweetness.
What’s your favorite kind of cookie?
Ever had the “I’m a working mom” blues? How’d you get through it?
